JAMIE REDKNAPP has finally entered the world of publishing, but sadly only the elite among us have the pleasure 5050 RGB Remote Controller LD-CON-12-WL of perusing his handiwork.

The former Liverpool midfielder has teamed up with the missus (Louise) and former Spurs man Tim Sherwood in launching Icon - a bi-monthly magazine exclusively for footballers.

The first issue (pictured right), with a staggering cover price of pounds 6, features helicopter shopping with Les Ferdinand, an interview with footballer's wife Coleen McLoughlin and adverts for a cheap-as-chips pounds 115,000 Bentley Continental and a pounds 21,600 Audemars Piguet watch.

Jamie even submits a few articles himself, one of which is an interview with cousin Frank Lampard over lunch at their favourite Knightsbridge restaurant.

So exclusive is the magazine, you won't find it in any newsagents or from some dodgy looking fella down the local with a satchel of pirate DVDs.

We thought this a bit cruel, so have decided to give 'common folk' an insight into life as a professional footballer by producing a budget version - Adam's ICON.
