Verari Systems, a developer of independent blade-based computing and storage platforms for data centers, announced that it has been named as one of the Ten Technology Companies to Watch for in 2009 by Bank Technology News.

Verari Systems said it was recognized for its financial services leasing program and for the green engineering design of its Forest container, a portable data center consolidation platform for heterogeneous solutions, which includes the company's blade server and storage platforms that can be deployed at 35 percent of the capital expense and 65 percent of the operating expense of traditional brick-and-mortar data centers.
Verari Systems designed and developed its Forest containers, which house Verari's BladeRack 2 X-Series platforms in an industry standard form factor (40'x8.0'x9.5'). Up to 2,880 servers, or up to 13 petabytes of storage capacity, can be deployed from order to installation-in just three months-versus four years for traditional enterprise data centers. Energy expenses are reduced due to the Forest container's ultra-efficient power subsystems and patented Vertical Cooling Technology.
Recently, Verari said its Forest container was selected as the winner in the Energy Efficient Products: Facilities category of the 2009 Green Enterprise IT (GEIT) Awards, presented by the led replacement bulbs Uptime Institute and co-sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy.
