China has the world's fastest- growing economy. Its people benefit from Internet services offered by Western companies.

But concerns that the Chinese government is behind the cyber attacks have forced Google to not only re-examine its relationship with China, but have led to a U.S. government investigation of the charges.

Google has long been concerned about China's censorship laws, even though it agreed to ban sites at the government's request. For example, searches for the "Tiananmen Square massacre" or the "Dalai Lama" come up blank on Google's China Web. But this latest assault, which also targeted other Western Internet companies, has given Google pause.

catalog printing Following the cyber attacks, Google said it would stop cooperating with Chinese Internet censorship and consider shutting down operations in China altogether.

The attack was initially said to have targeted Gmail accounts of Chinese dissidents. Those accounts are hosted outside of China and provide an extra layer of encryption.

But the company has since disclosed that the highly sophisticated attacks - believed to have been coordinated by the Chinese government - targeted Google's intellectual property as well as that of 34 other companies, most of which are located in Silicon Valley. The malicious software used in the attacks allows it unauthorized access to secret files and protocols.

The federal government has long been wary of China's cyber- spying programs. It is believed the Chinese have not only hacked into the systems of private companies, but also have acquired U.S. military data.

James McGregor, a business consultant in Beijing, told The New York Times "there's a sense China is saying, 'We have your technology and your capital - and now we have control of the market.' "
           postcard printing
The Chinese government has restricted the sale of foreign books, movies and other media as it fights a ruling by the World Trade Organization that such policies violate China's alleged commitment to international free trade.

Google is right to contemplate leaving China. Last Tuesday, the company announced it was delaying the launch of two new types of mobile phones in China because of the uncertainty surrounding its future in China.

The Chinese government argues that ways can be found to keep Google in the country.

But China has forced other companies into ethical compromises. For example, the government prosecuted dissidents after Yahoo supplied the government with emails from those accounts.

The fact that China holds a great deal of U.S. debt further complicates any negotiations between the two countries.

In the past, American companies quietly tolerated China's authoritarian policies as a way to do business with the Asian giant.

Google's willingness to go public with charges and to suggest it may pull out of China represents a new chapter in this enterprise.

The Chinese have long sought respect from the international business community. But unless China's leaders change the way the do business, the nation stands to lose whatever prestige it has earned.

   China contends
Other articles:
http://www.ballerprofiles.com/blog/view/id_187/title_from-great-leighs-to-arab-raci/
http://www.belangerpartners.com/Sports-Betting-Handbags-set-to.html
http://www.gamersmovies.com/blog/view/id_143/
http://www.yesblog.ru/blog.php?user=mywatches&note=17560
http://www.80min.com/China-Focus-Experts-call-for-r.html
...

<trackback:ping>http://www.25117.com/cmd.asp?act=tb&id=501&key=0dd2fb24</trackback:ping>

China to take initiative ensur

China to "take initiative" ensuring public security ahead of World Expo
                               replica balenciaga handbags
BEIJING, Feb. 23 (Xinhua) -- China's Ministry of Public Security Tuesday urged police nationwide to take initiatives in cracking serious crime cases and solving social conflicts to ensure a safe World Expo in Shanghai.

Vice Minister Huang Ming said police should seriously crack down on illegal activities, including illegal use of guns and explosives, kidnapping of children and women, gang-related crimes and online pornography.

Police in Shanghai and its neighboring regions were asked to reinforce security measures and increase street patrols, and mobilize local residents to ensure a safe environment for the upcoming World Expo.

Huang said the police should learn from Beijing's experience of successfully safeguarding the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and the celebrations for the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China in 2009.
                Replica prada wholesale
Police were also asked to visit grassroot level communities and villages to find prominent problems and help relevant authorities settle disputes.

Shanghai's neighboring provinces, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangxi, Fujian, Shandong, Henan and Hubei, would reinforce Chanel Replica Handbags security checks in air flights and trains, Huang said.

Huang also urged the police to enforce the law in a reasonable and civilized manner and minimize disturbances to the public.

The World Expo, to be hosted by China for the first time, will run from May 1 to Oct. 31. To date, at least 192 countries and 50 international organizations have confirmed their participation in the event that will present the latest advances of architecture and engineering worldwide.

Other articles:
http://www.hychina.net/Blog/View/?369
http://myface.com/blog/view/id_8685/title_looking-good-when-it’s-cold-is/
http://mywatches.blogs.event-management-uk.co.uk/2010/02/26/tug-earns-cash-for-regions-ho/
http://www.wvlife.com.cn/Blog/View/?257
http://www.downcn.net/BELLE-DE-JOUR.html
...

<trackback:ping>http://www.25117.com/cmd.asp?act=tb&id=500&key=80c34f2f</trackback:ping>

China wages consumer terrorism

There is another form of terrorism or danger that follows a consistent pattern of greed, deceit and complete lack of concern about safety. Examples? The recent use of toxic cadmium in children's charms and jewelry. The source? China.

A Chinese official, referring to the episode, used the term "contamination." Come on. When cadmium content of jewelry reaches 80 percent to 90 percent, that is not contamination but an intentional ploy to bypass the limit on lead.

Another example: the use of the antifreeze component, diethylene glycol, to replace the sweetener, glycerine, in toothpaste and cough syrup. Can you believe it? The toxic cough medicines killed hundreds in Nigeria, Panama and Bangladesh. The source? China.

Yet another example, a sad one: the use of toxic melamine not only as a pet food constituent but in milk powder for babies. The reason? To fool the nitrogen analysis specification and use cheaper ingredients. Who knows how many pets -- cats and dogs -- died from this in the U.S. alone. This was no accident but an intentional scheme. The source? You guessed it. China. pandora style beads

A fourth and more recent example: The Chemical & Engineering News reported in its Jan. 4 issue on the growing problem of fake pharmaceuticals, including ineffective substitutes as well as harmful ingredients. It was estimated (guessed) that in developing nations, between 10 percent and 50 percent of drugs are fake. Known sources? China and South Asia. The companies responsible are using increasingly sophisticated methods rolex fake to bypass controls and regulations.

We cannot afford merely to react to each episode by proposing composition limits (e.g., cadmium content) on imported items. Obviously, the Chinese government is unable to control this situation. As a minimal step, I suggest that all imported packaged, canned or bottled products, ingredients, drugs, toys, jewelry be clearly labeled as to the country of origin. This is already done for shirts and shoes. Why not for products that can and have already caused harm? We should not have to prove an item unsafe; the importer should have to prove it safe according to our rules.

Second, I suggest that the U.S. ban any -- yes, any -- product originating from a company guilty of such crimes even if it later cleans up its act. Will unscrupulous foreign manufacturers work on ways to continue operations and avoid penalties, e.g., by re- organizing under a different name, relabeling, shipping ingredients to intermediate countries (e.g., Canada) or setting up shell firms in these countries? Based on past behavior, I am sure that they will. But at least we will begin to exert more control.

replica clothing Third, we need to support the development and use of advanced inspection techniques to keep harmful products from entering the country. This will not be easy. Penalties should be severe.

My suggestions may seem biased and unfair, but based on past experience and the four examples cited, I simply do not trust Chinese products that will end up in contact with, ingested or consumed by humans or animals. The fibre acquisition will take place over a three-year period with a price not to exceed RMB300 per m(3), to the extent permitted under the relevant PRC rolex replica laws and regulations. The tree species include pine, Chinese fir and others. Guizhou Sen Li will ensure that the commercial plantation forests sold to Sino- Forest are non-state-owned and not from natural forests.

According to officials, in addition to securing the maximum tree acquisition price, Sino-Forest has pre-emptive rights to lease the underlying plantation land at a price, as permitted under the relevant replica breitling PRC laws and regulations, not to exceed RMB450 per hectare per annum for 30 years from the time of harvest. The land lease can also be extended to 50 years as permitted under PRC laws and regulations.

The specific terms and conditions of purchasing or leasing are to be determined upon the execution of definitive agreements between the PRC subsidiaries of Sino-Forest and Guizhou Sen Li upon the authorization of original plantation rights holders, and subject to the requisite governmental approval and in compliance with the relevant PRC laws and regulations.

Sino-Forest Chairman and CEO Allen Chan said, "We are very pleased to have signed our sixth master agreement, which provides us now with access to a total of 902,000 hectares of wood fibre and timber land, excluding the 348,000 hectares of trees acquired year- to-date through previous agreements. The acquisition will be funded by proceeds from the approximately US$815 million raised from the recent convertible note and equity offerings. Our business and operational plan this year calls for further acquisition of plantation fibre, as we continue to expand our plantation base. We also plan to ramp up re-planting with our genetically advanced seedlings, with
embroidered patches the aim of achieving an average yield of 150 to 200 m(3) per hectare at harvest in six years."

Chan continued, "Since Guizhou is one of the poorest provinces in China, we hope that significantly improving plantation yields and operating complementary wood processing mills that add value to wood fibre will help improve the livelihoods of local farmers and enrich regional economies."

Guizhou Province adjoins Sichuan Province and Chongqing Municipality to the north, Yunnan Province to the west, Guangxi Province to the south and Hunan Province to the east. The Guizhou Master Agreement expands Sino-Forest's base of wood fibre and plantation operations in southern China.

((Comments on this story may be sent to ))

Other articles:
http://pub.kz/blog.php?user=watches2010&blogentry_id=76
http://www.crazyaboutpaintball.com/blog/view/id_84/title_Tandy-Brands-Accessories-Compl/
http://bloghost.adultlinks4.me/entry.php?w=mywatches&e_id=80211
http://hi.baidu.com/watches2010/blog/item/1636c429bdf9b190033bf693.html
http://www.saxmusic.net/Blog/View/?756
...

<trackback:ping>http://www.25117.com/cmd.asp?act=tb&id=492&key=f3119f82</trackback:ping>

Sino-U.S. fumed silica joint v

Sino-U.S. fumed silica joint venture to undergo expansion: ChemChina

BEIJING, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- China National Chemical Corporation (ChemChina), the nation's largest chemicals producer, has confirmed that its joint venture with Cabot Corporation of the United States for producing fumed silica in Jiangxi Province would be expanded.

An agreement has been signed between Bluestar New Chemical Materials Co Ltd, a subsidiary of ChemChina, and Cabot (China) Ltd, replica rolex a subsidiary of Boston-based Cabot Corporation, to significantly expand fumed silica capacity of the companies' joint venture in Jiangxi, according to a document posted at the website of Cabot Corporation.

The two companies would increase production at the Jiangxi plant to 15,000 tons by 2011, making it the largest producer in the world. (OTC Bulletin Board: SNBP, "Sinobiopharma" or the "Company"), a fully integrated and highly innovative biopharmaceutical company engaged in the research and development, manufacture and marketing of pharmaceutical products in China, today announced financial results for the second quarter ended November 30, 2009.

Second Quarter 2010 Highlights -- Total revenue increased by 120% year over year to approximately $2.1 million. -- Gross margin increased 182% year over year to approximately $1.7 million, or 80% of sales. -- Net income increased $2.1 million from a net loss of approximately $1.0 million in the second quarter of 2009 to net income of approximately $1.1 million in the second quarter of 2010. -- The Company scaled up of production and marketing to launch rolex fake Sinobiopharma's new drug YiTai (perindopril).

"We achieved excellent revenue and net income growth in the second quarter," said Dr. Lequn Huang, Sinobiopharma's Chairman and CEO stated. "The strong growth is largely due to our increased marketing efforts and strong demand for our main product KuTai (cisatracurium besylate). KuTai is replacing older-generation muscle relaxants since it is uniquely differentiated by both its performance profile and its convenience. KuTai is the only muscle relaxant that can be stored at room temperature. We feel confident that KuTai will continue to gain market share."
Second Quarter 2010 Results -- Sales increased 120% to $2,137,471 for the three months ended November 30, 2009, from $971,173 for the three months that ended November 30, 2008. The increase in sales was due largely to the continuing growth in sales of KuTai (cisatracurium besylate). Increased marketing efforts and adoption by physicians are driving KuTai sales growth. -- Gross margin increased 182% to $1,720,308 (80% of sales) for the three months that ended November 30, 2009, from $610,752 (63% of sales) for the three months that ended November 30, 2008. The improvement in gross margin was attributable to operating leverage; as volume increased, the unit cost of manufacturing KuTai has decreased. The improvement in gross margin was also attributable to an increase in the price of KuTai, which is distributed through a GSP licensed distributor while Sinobiopharma controls marketing, delivery terms and pricing. -- The operating expenses for the three months ended November 30, 2009 were $596,154, representing a 63% decrease as compared to $1,594,819 for the three months that ended November 30, 2008. The drop was primarily attributable to the decrease in stock-based compensation expenses, and to a lesser degree to a decline in expenses from reverse takeover activities in the three months that ended November 30, 2008. -- Research and development expenses increased $189,396 from $33,015 for the three months ended November 30, 2008 to $222,411 for the three months that ended November 30, 2009. The increase was mainly due to the technology consulting expenses related to the new drug YiTai (perindopril), for which Sinobiopharma scaled up for production in November 2009, and expenditures related to the research and development of other new drugs during the three-month period that ended November 30, 2009. -- Other expenses decreased $10,568 from $61,172 for the three months that ended November 30, 2008 to $50,604 for the three months that ended November 30, 2009. This decrease was due to a lowered balance of the shareholder loan, which resulted in lower imputed interest expenses.

  Business Outlook fake rol
Other articles:
http://www.oururbanspace.com/blog/view/id_351/title_Police-plea-after-assault;-NEW/
http://www.freeblog.com.br/mywatches/21730/Energetic+Aggrolites.html
http://blogone.de/entry.php?w=mywatches&e_id=520
http://www.sz-sg.com/Blog/View/?222
http://www.henauhy.net/Top-stories-in-Southeast-Georg.html
...

<trackback:ping>http://www.25117.com/cmd.asp?act=tb&id=490&key=6e1783ac</trackback:ping>

Feature Americans pay farewell

Feature: Americans pay farewell to homebound Chinese giant pandas

   by Xinhua writer Wang Wei

WASHINGTON, Feb. 4 (Xinhua) -- With one hand clutching a plush panda and the other one waving to a FedEx cargo plane that was fading away into the sky, Kelly Davis, a 10-year-old girl from the District of Columbia, had mixed feelings.

It was sad to see off Tai Shan and Mei Lan, two giant pandas born in the United States. But Davis knew that they were flying to the homeland that they had never seen and that they were going to start a new life with their "cousins."

"I just hope they can have a good time in China and be able to make their own families," said the self-proclaimed panda fan.

Dozens hair extensions wholesale of media reporters and members of the American public gathered outside the FedEx building at the Dulles International Airport on Thursday, and paid their final farewell to the pandas.

Panda toys and pins were especially designed for the event, with Tai Shan and Mei Lan's images on them, along with Chinese and American national flags. The creativity displayed tapped Americans' love of pandas, from self-made panda hair accessories to face paint in black and white, representing pandas' colors.

Tai Shan, a so-called "rock star" in the National Zoological Park, has attracted millions of visitors during the four and half years since he was born there. He also seemed to realize how much he would be missed.

The moment he was loaded onto the plane, he dropped bamboo stalks and turned to face the public, leaving an indelible snapshot of his cute image in Americans' minds.

Mei Lan, a three-old panda girl who was born and raised in the Zoo Atlanta, Georgia, was already waiting, fast asleep aboard the plane at that time. The plane would bring them directly to Chengdu, China, in nearly 15 hours.

According to FedEx officials, the trip took almost 100 staff members several weeks to arrange for the two VIPs, or Very Important Pandas.

The "FedEx Panda Express" is a custom-decaled 777 freighter, the world's largest twin-engine cargo aircraft, where the two pandas have their own separate and custom-built enclosures, and a retinue of animal experts to cater to them throughout the entire flight.

Their luggage included water, 75 kg of bamboo and other enrichment items as well as a box of farewell letters from the American public.

"In the past two years, Tai Shan has grown up with the blessing, love and care of the American people," said Xie Feng, minister of the Chinese Embassy to the United States, at a press conference at the airport.
       Lace front wigs
"He has now grown into a handsome young man, and it is time for him to go home."

Tai Shan should have gone home two years ago according to
embroidered patches an agreement reached by the Chinese and the U.S. governments, but the departure was postponed twice due to China's consideration of the American public's deep bonds with the panda cub, he said.

"During the past four and half years, Tai Shan and Mei Lan have not only represented the crystallization of China-U.S. collaboration on giant pandas' preservation, but also served as special
HARARE, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese ambassador to Zimbabwe, Xin Shunkang, on Thursday launched preparations for the 30th anniversary celebrations of China-Zimbabwe diplomatic relations.

The celebrations, which coincide with Zimbabwe's 30th anniversary of its independence, may also see the Chinese national football team play against the Zimbabwe Warriors in a friendly match, even though no dates had been set.

Xin outlined activities to be done during the year, including the full implementation of the new eight-point plan enunciated by Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao at the 4th Ministerial Conference of the Forum for China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) in Egypt last year.

The eight-point plan, which succeeds the old one announced by Chinese President Hu Jintao at the 2006 Beijing FOCAC summit, focuses on climate change and sustainable development, trade, infrastructure, education, science and technology, agricultural technology, debt cancellation for highly-indebted poor countries, human resources development and health services support.

Chinese Lace front wigs embassy officials have since met with senior Zimbabwe government officials, the academia and business leaders to review the plan and the parties agreed to establish a think-tank to facilitate the implementation of partnership programs.

The think-tank, to include academics and members of the business community, will advise the Chinese embassy on the effective implementation of projects in line with the country's needs.

"For instance, our two countries just signed two agreements on the provision of a 315-million RMB Yuan (46 million U.S. dollars) concessional loan and the 50 million RMB Yuan (7.35 million U.S. dollars) grant respectively to support (mobile phone service provider) NetOne expand its network coverage and implement the projects to be agreed upon through consultations between the two governments," Xin said at his first Press conference since he arrived in Zimbabwe five months ago.

He added that the construction of two solar power
embroidered patches projects, the further support for Chinese financial institutions in setting up a special fund for small and medium scale Zimbabwean businesses and the provision of an agricultural technology team would be done within the framework of the celebrations.

"Most importantly, the 5th Joint Commission between China and Zimbabwe is set to be held in May 2010 to further stimulate bilateral investment," he added.

China was also planning to issue the Commemorative Cover to mark the 30-year-long bilateral relations, invite one top Chinese arts troupe to attend this year's edition of the Harare International Festival of the Arts and hold a film festival, during which at least four Chinese films will be shown in Harare and Bulawayo.

Relations between China and Zimbabwe date back to the pre- independence era, with China providing military assistance to Zimbabwean liberation fighters.

During the last three years, China provided approximately 300 million U.S. dollars to the Zimbabwean government in aid.

Other articles:
<a
   by Wang Xiuqiong, Zheng Jinfa

ANKARA, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) -- A developing economy with surging energy demand and growing interest in using coal to produce electricity, Turkey has drawn the eyes of a Chinese contractor to its thermal power industry.

At a muddy construction site in Catalagzi town of Zonguldak Province along northern Turkey's Black Sea coast, more than 1,500 Chinese workers and technicians try to beat the rainy weather and tight schedule during the final stage of building a 1,200 megawatts super-critical thermal power plant, a project contracted by China National Machinery and Equipment Import and Export Corporation (CMEC).

The project is expected to be finished in April this year and will have larger installed capacity than any other coal-burning power plants in Turkey after completion, said Liu Lijun, chief representative of CMEC in Turkey, in a makeshift office building next to the construction site.
            rolex fake
"Turkey is in short of electricity and has a great potential in developing thermal power. Now it's the good time to enter the market," said Liu.

The plant being constructed by the CMEC includes two 600 megawatts thermal power-generating units, which were imported from China and boast the biggest capacity among all products of its kind exported by China ever, Liu told Xinhua.

The total installed capacity of thermal power-generating units that CMEC has contracted in Turkey since 2002 stands around 3,500 megawatts, he estimated.

"We're looking to even bigger business prospect here in the next five to 10 years," he said.

Only about 21 percent of Turkey's gross electricity production in 2006 was generated from coal and lignite, while nearly half of the total came from natural gas, according to figures published by the European Association for Coal and Lignite on its website.

Turkey will face an electricity supply crisis starting from 2014 or 2015 as the economic revival accelerates, Sinan Aygun, chairman of Ankara Chamber of Commerce (ATO) said last week.

Electricity demand in the country will rise to 202.7 billion kilowatt hours in 2010 and economic growth could further boost the demand to 357.2 billion kilowatt hours by 2018, Turkey's semi- official Anatolia news agency quoted Aygun as saying.
      Lace wigs
The CMEC project in Catalagzi is part of a 1.5 billion-U.S. dollars three-phase thermal power project with a planned total capacity of 1,360 megawatts invested by Turkish energy company Eren Enerji under the Eren Holding, according to Eren Enerji company data.

"Coal-burning power plants are a new field for Eren Holding," Emir Eren, managing director of Eren Enerji, told Xinhua. "We decided to enter the market because we see Turkey has an power shortage ... and the cost of natural gas is getting higher although about half of Turkey's electricity is now produced from gas."

Li Zhiyong, filed work director of the CMEC project in Catalagzi, said China has mature equipment and experienced staff in thermal power plant construction, which meets the demand of Turkish investors.

In China, thermal electricity accounted for 74.6 percent of the total power generation in 2009, according to figures from the China Electricity Council.

Li said the CMEC adopts the E
Other articles:
http://www.hansn.com/HOOK-LINE--STINKER.html
...

<trackback:ping>http://www.25117.com/cmd.asp?act=tb&id=487&key=8a090c75</trackback:ping>

FEATURE Bamboo slips to tell d

FEATURE: Bamboo slips to tell different tales of China's ancient past by Xinhua writers Tian Ying, Fu Shuangqi, Ju Jing

BEIJING, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- China's early history before Qin Dynasty (starting from 221 B.C.) may be different from previously thought, said Chinese historians as they decode bamboo slips over 2,000 years old.

The bamboo slips were collected by alumni of China's top Tsinghua University from overseas, and returned to China in 2008.

Preserved in water when returned, there are 2,388 pieces of bamboo slips, the longest one being 46 centimeters in length.
    hair extensions wholesale
After the initial decoding, scholars at Tsinghua University found ancient classics and history books written on the slips.

Bamboo slips were used in ancient China before paper was invented around 100 A.C. People inscribed classics or documents on bamboo, and made them into scrolls.

The bamboo slips under study were carbon dated to around 305 B.C. a period of the "Warring States", before China's first emperor Shi Huang united the nation.
     replica rolex
The bamboo slips survived Shi Huang's "book burning", said Liu Guozhong, Professor of History at Tsinghua University.

The "book burning" happened in 213 B.C. when Shi Huang cracked down on followers of confucianism by burning a large amount of literature and burying hundreds of confucius scholars alive in an attempt to control the people's minds.

Many confucius classics were destroyed in the disaster, including "Shangshu", or "The Book of History", but its contents were not lost because a confucius scholar had memorized it and rewrote it after Shi Huang died.

Prof. Liu said at least 20 articles from "The Book of History" were discovered to be written on the bamboo slips.

"As these bamboo slips survived the 'book burning', they are more authoritative than those copies of the book rewritten later. What was written on the bamboo slips could help correct mistakes in the Chinese classics and history books," said Liu.

Liu said, this has been the consensus reached by scholars who have studied the bamboo slips that were unearthed in China's Hunan and Hubei region.

When the bamboo slips were returned to Tsinghua, they were dipped in water, disintegrated, and some were already decayed.

Scholars did preservation work first, and photographed them. In decoding them , scholars projected pictures of bamboo slips onto the wall, and pieced the pictures together just like doing a puzzle.

One article might be scattered through out different slips, so we have to firstly stitch the slips together, said Liu.

embroidered patches
"So far, we've only decoded a little bit. Decoding is a gigantic project which might not be finished by this generation," said Liu.

Tsinghua University will publish the first progress report of the decoding by the end of this year.

Other articles:
http://www.lz0759.com.cn/Blog/View/?950
...

<trackback:ping>http://www.25117.com/cmd.asp?act=tb&id=486&key=24c3bad9</trackback:ping>

Feature China's star figure sk

Feature: China's star figure skaters Shen/Zhao save the best for the last

VANCOUVER, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- After 12 years waiting for the most coveted trophy, the Chinese figure skating couple Shen Xue and Zhao Hongbo saved the best for the last to make their golden dream come true at the 21st Olympic Winter Games here Monday evening.

The two-time Olympic bronze medalists, coming back from retirement nine months ago, scored a world record 216.57 points to beat compatriots Pang Qing and Tong Jian for the pairs figure skating gold medal of the Vancouver Winter Olympics.

It has been China's first ever Olympic title in figure skating since the most populous sports powerhouse made its Winter Olympic debut 30 years ago.

And Shen and Zhao also become the first ever non-European couple to top the Olympic pairs podium in history, snapping a 12-Games winning streak of Russia who had dominated the Olympic figure skating pairs events for 46 years.

"We've been waiting for the Olympic gold medal for too long, and it's so sweet when the victory finally comes," said an emotional Zhao stepping off the podium with his now wife Shen.
                           fake rolex
The duo have been crowned as the world champions for three times before they gave up the national team training in March, 2007 following their victorious worlds in Tokyo and picking up world tour exhibitions instead.

They have also lifted six trophies of the ISU figure skating Grand Prix Finals, but had been eluded by the Olympic gold medals for three times before their Vancouver voyage across the Pacific Ocean.

Having teamed up for 18 years, Zhao and Shen, now husband and wife, become a golden combination in China.

The duo won the first world pairs title for China in 2002 and then retained it in 2003 before incurring a string of injuries.

Zhao suffered from a torn Achilles' tendon which affected them at the Turin Olympics and forced them to pull out of the 2006 worlds.

In the following year, the pair overcame a dismay 2006 to sweep all in front of them during the season, winning the Cup of China, the NHK Trophy, the Grand Prix final and the Four Continents event.

After lifting the 2007 world championships title in Tokyo, Shen and Zhao left the national team. The ceremony was accompanied by descriptive explanations allowing the European audience to have a better understanding of the process. Geoffroy Clerkx, an official from Brussels Capital Region, said: "It was fantastic! The atmosphere was very quiet and I liked it very much." "This Europalia Festival is really a start for a new cooperation between Brussels and Beijing,"he said.

Among the audience was 13-year-old Alize Rosso: "I came here because I like Chinese writing and the Tea House was very attractive."

"I like Chinese tea, its flavor is very delicate," said Yulika Deprez, a young student who was attending a Europalia event for the first time.

"I think I will probably attend other Europalia events," she said.

Alexandra Verhoosel-Frisson, a wholesale colthing tea passionate who acquired knowledge about tea in China and set up her own company selling Chinese tea, said that Chinese tea was getting popular in Europe.

"Little by little, people like it," Verhoosel-Frisson said, adding "they say it's a very good tea, very healthy."

She said Europalia China art festival allowed many Europeans to discover Chinese culture and made them want to visit China.

embroidered patches
As a cultural project jointly organized by Europalia International and the Chinese Ministry of Culture, the Europalia China art festival presents about 50 exhibitions and 450 art performances and cultural events in more than 70 cities in Belgium and four neighboring countries, including the Netherlands, France, Luxembourg and Germany.

The art festival, which was under four major themes of "Eternal China, Contemporary China, Colorful China, China and the rest of the world," started on Oct. 8, 2009, and will end on Feb. 14.

Other articles:
http://www.nealine.net/weblogs/mywatches/7977/THE+Douglas+Macmillan+Hospice+.html
...

<trackback:ping>http://www.25117.com/cmd.asp?act=tb&id=484&key=c117422e</trackback:ping>

Feature China's Haier benefits

Feature: China's Haier benefits from China-ASEAN FTA

   by Zhu Li

BANGKOK, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- From panel spraying, frame welding to fittings assembly, these are the workshops of a factory of China's electronic giant Haier in Thailand. The products were so familiar, and so was the scene of lots of identical, nearly- finished refrigerators queuing on the assembly lines. Only one thing: the workers here are all Thais.
                           hair extensions wholesale
The factory of China's Haier Electric PCL in Prachinburi province, Thailand, was purchased by Haier three years ago, Ding Gaofeng, the assistant manager in charge of refrigerator workshops, told Xinhua reporter.

It is the first factory that Haier ever owned in Thailand as well as in Southeast Asia, he said.

"I believe this is also the first time that a Chinese electric brand makes a large-scale presence in Thailand's market," the manager said, adding that Japanese and South Korean brands have been dominating this market for decades.

He was confident that more and more made-in-China electric products will enter Thailand and other ASEAN markets soon following the establishment of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area ( FTA) on Jan. 1 this year and the gradual implementation of the FTA terms.

The China-ASEAN FTA was officially launched at the beginning of 2010. It covers an area of 13,000,000 square kilometers, with a population of 1.9 billion and nearly 4.5-trillion-U.S.-dollar trade volume.

The enterprises of both China and the 10 ASEAN countries, namely, Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam, will benefit from the free trade terms in goods, service and investment.

Talking about the immediate benefit that the Haier factory can get from FTA, Ding showed Xinhua reporter two modern-style friges, one black-colored and one white, both of them sleek and slim.

"The two models were designed by our own rolex replica designers in Thailand, and they adopts the air-cooling technique for refrigeration, which are more widely used in Thailand's frige production and less common in China," he said.

Ding said the two frige models have been so popular in Japan that Haier is going to sell them in China, since many Chinese consumers like this kind of frost-free model but can hardly find them in domestic market.

The models are manufactured by the factory in Thailand, so importing them to China now can enjoy zero tariff, which in turn reduced the cost, he added.

Meanwhile, other electric appliances made in Thailand and other ASEAN countries now can enter China's market under zero tariff, too, Ding said.

"Refrigerator is our main product since Haier itself started its business decades ago from frige production. Last year (2009) the factory's frige output is 900,000, with a large part of them selling to OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture) Manufacturers," said Ding, who came from Shandong province, China one year ago and since then has been in charge of the refrigerator manufacture here.

The sale of Haier friges in Thailand's market last year is about 50,000 sets, Ding said, adding their target for 2012 is 150, 000 sets, which means the biggest market share in the country. " Haier aims to be the No. 1 frige brand in Thailand," Ding said.

   Wu Yong,
Other articles:
http://blog.slowwwenia.com/watches2010/2010/02/24/duo-prepare-for-rumble-in-the/
...

<trackback:ping>http://www.25117.com/cmd.asp?act=tb&id=483&key=3343da31</trackback:ping>
